Parish Ministries

St. Leo the Great is comprised of multiple caring ministries, full of wonderful, generous volunteers who know the parish inside and out and who never cease to contribute to the welfare of the entire neighborhood and surrounding community. Many of these folks grew up in Little Italy and although not all still reside in the neighborhood, they return to the city week after week in service of their dearly loved parish, St. Leo the Great. To learn more, or to become involved in a specific ministry, please contact the parish office at 410.675.7275.

ALTAR SERVERS - YOUTH & ADULT

Both youth and adult altar servers assist the celebrant during Mass by participating in the entrance and offertory processions, helping to prepare the altar for the Eucharist, holding the book of prayers throughout the Mass, ringing bells during the Consecration, and standing with the priest and Eucharistic Ministers during Communion. Young parishioners who wish to serve on the altar must have already received their First Holy Communion.
